Hellooo my lovely, and welcome to But of Course! I am seriously so happy you are here!

Creating a blog has been a forever dream of mine, but I was always too scared to actually START. I would watch TikToks about successful bloggers and follow their step-by-step guides for how to begin, but something would always get in the way. I would do allll the research on what domain names to choose and how to advertise on Pinterest, but at the end of the day, I didn't believe in myself enough. "I'm just too busy right now, I'll start next summer." "It's too hard and I am too young." "Everyone will judge me." "I'm not sure I even have anything good to say." Yet, here we are!

It's the summer before my junior year of college, and I am living in San Diego, pretty much on my own. I am working two jobs and taking summer classes, trying to save up as much money as I can for when I study abroad in Florence, Italy, from August to December. (In terms of saving money, let's just say I have a longggg way to go 🙈). I recently broke up with a boyfriend I was with since my junior year of high school... help. I'm not totally sure what I want to even do with my life, and to be honest, the future of the world frightens me more often than not. So with all of these things in mind, I finally decided to, well, just start.

And then "But Of Course" was born! The end! JK.

On a more serious note, "But Of Course" means a lot more than just a name for me. To me, "But Of Course!" is believing in your vision so hard it almost doesn’t make sense. It means trusting your power to create a life that’s so authentic and beautiful, people won’t believe it until they see it. It means that even when people tell you no, or laugh at you for trying, you can look back at them and say:

“Just watch.”

I have always felt like I was meant for more than what a traditional life lays out for you. Go to college, get a degree, meet the love of your life (maybe), work a 9-5, have some kids, buy a house, try not to stress about money... be a sheep. And there is nothing wrong with following this path, at all. But I just know it isn't for me. I want to live a life that is bold, abundant, radiant, illogical, and most of all beautiful. I want to fill the empty pages of my story with memories and photos and laughter and tears and follow the road that my heart pulls me toward. So I will, because, But Of Course I can.

Sooo, Why a Blog?

I know what you're thinking. Blogs are a thing of the past, for old people, to share recipes and gardening tips. But this is where I'm here to prove you wrong (in the kindest way possible 🤗). "But Of Course" marks a new era in the blogging timeline, blogs for the girlies in their younger years!!! Because we deserve a more meaningful and less intrusive space to connect too!

Whether it’s small shifts in mindset, learning something the hard way, or just noticing patterns in daily life, I’ve realized that reflection becomes more powerful when it’s shared. I don’t have all the answers (and probably never will), but writing helps me make sense of the questions. And if it resonates with even just one person who’s navigating similar things, then it’s worth putting out there.

This blog is a place to explore ideas, document change, and challenge the pressure to have everything figured out. It’s not curated for perfection—it’s a space for trying things, asking better questions, and noticing the details most people scroll past.

So no, this isn’t a blog about what I know. It’s a blog about what I’m still learning—and how I’m learning to pay attention.
